Player Profile - Sacha Hatteea

Sacha joined Dodgers in 2009 and quickly excelled as a top class batsman, excellent fielder and decent spin bowler. Realising that this high calibre skills set was unsustainable if he wanted to fit in, Sacha made some clever close season adjustments and returned in 2010 as a top class batsman, excellent fielder and gobshite slow bowler.

The weather and availability frustrated his attempts to register a really big score but this is surely just a matter of time.

Player Profile - Steve Bennett

From the same dynasty as Tony, Gordon, Alan and Phil.

Steve played a handful of games in 2009 but featured more regularly in 2010. A decent seam bowler who delivered some good returns, Steve had few opportunities to show his prowess with the bat.

Only a reasonable fielder but that still places him in the upper quartile of the Dodgers fielding competency matrix.

Player Profile - Paul Redmayne

It's not clear if Paul will play in 2011 as he may have returned to the frozen North East, but he was a very welcome addition to the side in 2010.

Despite looking the part with the bat, it would be fair to say he promised more than he delivered. Had some fair returns with the ball though with his loopy and well flighted spin. An enthusiastic fielder and all round good egg who will be missed.

Player Profile - David Lindsey

David is a welcome new recruit who showed himself to be a very competent and steady bat (a rich man's McB according to some).

We hope to see more of David in 2011 and that he will provide valuable runs and solidity in the upper middle order.

Player Profile - Pete Lee

Pete Lee JrPeter William Lee (no, not that one) was recruited for the 2009 Season and another product of the burgeoning Dodgers Youth Policy. Pete's swashbuckling techneeq saw him put together a few spectacular innings including a notable 40 not out down at Barnes Common early in the season. He scored over 200 runs at just over 20 and his safe hands took 5 catches in the field (second only to The Cat).

A man with a Facebook photo album called "Drinking" has to be admired but what's that strange yellow coloured liquid in Pete's glass in this photo? Apparently it is ale. However, Pete's true beer drinking preferences are really yet to be seen as he is normally the first to disappear after the match and never has any money!

When he's playing for Dodgers in his fifties he will be glad we finally decided to call him Lee (P Jr).

Player Profile - Phil McBarron

Phil was our second-highest runs scorer in 2010 with 339 and bowled the third most overs of any of our bowlers returning a respectable 12 wickets at 25-a-piece. Some great overall performances throughout the season saw Phil finish 4th in the 2010 Player of the Season.

Phil successfully retained his 'Real Ale Drinker of the Year' title for the 16th year in a row.

Player Profile - John Carr

The LegendIn 2009, JC made it to a significant Dodgers milestone (no, he didn't drink 6 pints before a match!) in finally qualifying for the All-Time bowling averages. Bowling just over 12 overs across the season and taking 4 wickets (initially at a very miserly average) this represented a rather grand total.

Throw in a few splendid knocks with the bat, including an unbeaten 32 on the last day of the season and 2 or 3 Man of the Match awards and that's a great season for The Legend.

JC in his youth

Player Profile - Tawhid Qureshi

TQ's batting in 2009 had improved vastly on 2008 and he was one of our most consistent players. His big innings came against Tilburg Regions when he carried his bat for 79 and did his fair share of an opening stand of 127 with Mr McBarron.

Rather oddly for one of our better fielders, Tawhid did not take a catch all season. And as for bowling... well let's just say the world was saved from moonballs for another year.

In 2010, TQ didn't play as much and his batting took a bit of step back again and he still didn't take any catches!
