John Carr (Captain)
Phil McBarron (Chairman)
John Cooper (Treasurer)
Robert Fox (Secretary)
Kim Matthews (Fixture Secretary)
Peter Lee (Committee Member without Portfolio)

Standing down from the previous Committee were: Tawhid Qureshi (Secretary) & Neil Benn (CMWP), & thanks were given for their efforts.

Subscription, Match & Net Fees for 2007

These remain as follows:

• Dodgers Membership = £10.00
• Evening Match (No Tea) = £3.50
• Afternoon Match (No Tea) = £4.00
• Afternoon Match (With Tea) = £5.00
• Evening Nets @ The Oval = £5.00.

Away fees are to be the same as those of Home games.

Selection Policy for 2007

The team selection policy was discussed & it was decided to monitor the situation to see firstly whether or not there will enough players to play. Should any one game be oversubscribed, then a rotation policy will come in to play, although consideration will be given by the committee to having a balanced side, & to occasionally allow bowlers to bat higher up, or batsmen to bowl.

Recruitment

New Dodgers Recruitment posters designed by John Cooper will be distributed to Tawhid (LDA), Rod (GMH), Guy (HMRC), Simon (TFL) & Rob (GOL-RWH) shortly to display in their respective buildings. The Dodgers website www.dodgerscricket.org also has the relevant details of how to join. (20 players were paid up members of Dodgers in 2006).

2007 Fixtures

Kim Matthews has already agreed several fixtures for the coming year which are posted on the Dodgers website. Some new ones are planned, including possible participation in a 6-a-side Tolworth Tournament in Surrey. A special 2 innings all-day game v Superstars was planned for the summer. The CSSC Sports Day in July, incorporating the 2008 St.Lucia Challenge, was also mentioned. Thanks were given to Kim (the Cat) Matthews for all his sterling work in organising the Dodgers fixtures.

Closed Season Activities & Other Social Events

Various off-season activities have been planned, including indoor nets at the Oval (dates already advised), a day at Ascot Races on 30th March, & a Greyhound Racing Day at Walthamstow.

Peter Lee has volunteered to be Social Secretary, & other social events to be finalised are: a BBQ at Phil McBarron's mansion, a day out at the Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court, & several cricket watching days, primarily at the Oval & Lords.

Any Other Business

No Dodgers Tour has been planned for 2007; however, the Superstars are believed to be touring the Cotswold’s over the early May Bank Holiday weekend. Anyone interested in going should contact Barry Gigg.

New Cricket equipment for the coming season was agreed to be purchased before the end of April by either Peter Lee or Kim Matthews, consisting of a bat, some pads & new balls. Helmets will be a matter for each individual to buy if required.

Rod Paterson agreed to look into the possible purchase of Dodgers Caps in either baseball or baggy style, & a suitable logo will have to be agreed later. He will get some quotes in due course, & report back to the next committee meeting in April (date TBA).

Rob Fox (Secretary)
